Which colour analysis drapes should you get when you start out?
Kim, if you were me, just starting out, which drapes would you invest in? Which approach is easier and better so that people understand more and easier for me to learn? Is it the seasonal or tonal? I know you have said you don’t need all the drapes, but does it look more professional to have them all?

Seasonal and tonal colour analysis are exactly the same thing
You may start out learning seasonal and then add tonal later. You might choose to learn tonal first, and then add seasonal. Your choice. We’re all different.
The tonal system didn’t exist when I started so I had no choice; it was seasonal or nothing. And at the end of the day, every woman wants to know which season she is so that she can tell her friends.
Her friends will understand when she talks about Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. But will they understand when she says, “I’m a Bright” or “I’m Soft-muted”?
The tonal system may make more sense later. Just see how it goes. You don’t have to do what I or anyone else does. This is your business. Your choice.
Don’t forget, I ran an extremely successful colour business using seasonal colour analysis alone for 17 years.

All our drapes have labels that show both seasonal and tonal directions
so it doesn’t matter which drapes you choose. They will all work for both seasonal and tonal. If you work with the tonal approach, you can use any of the drapes with that method. They are all also marked with the seasons, so every drape can be used with any system at all.
Do NOT order both the 60x seasonal and the 90x tonal drape sets!
