Cool or warm colouring?

The first four months of 2015 were a massive roller coaster ride. And I wanted to get off! We had so many plans for new products and programs but everything had to go on the back burner because of my Mum’s sudden illness and unexpected death. But I always say that every cloud has a silver lining and I knew on the day of her funeral that 2015 was going to be a year of new beginnings.

I just didn’t realise it would take yet another two months to get things moving in the right direction again. I just feel like I’ve been faffing around like a tart (to quote my darling Momma) for the first third of the year.

A time for new beginnings

So I’ve been beavering away, creating masterclasses for our brand-new Fabulous Colour Academy. The first masterclass is called…

Promote yourself with Cool & Warm

Back in 1980, when I was bored out of my brain with my office job (surely not?), I started working with a direct selling company promoting a range of make-up. They cleverly made this range completely different by providing colour charts which split all the foundations, blushers, eye shadows and lipsticks into either cool shades or warm shades.

I had to learn how to work out whether my customer had cool or warm colouring so that I could then show her the relevant make-up products to help her look and feel gorgeous. It was loads of fun showing ladies why some colours looked better than others.

Every single one of my customers absolutely loved it.

  • They bought products they actually used
  • They looked healthy and fab and felt wonderful
  • They told all their friends so my business grew at a right old rate of knots
  • And they all kept coming back for more, over and over again

Some of my customers are still pestering me after all this time.

I just can’t seem to shake the little tinkers off!

That was how colour analysis started in the UK all those hundreds of years ago. And that is the power of just one aspect, one immensely crucial aspect of colour analysis.

In the first masterclass ‘Promote yourself with Cool & Warm’ I tell you the whole story of those make-up classes and how yours truly was in the right place at the right time when colour first hit the shores of good ol’ Blighty. I share with you my own hints and tips on how to analyse Cool vs. Warm:

  • some with the drapes, and you get a list of comparison drapes already done for you
  • some without using any drapes
  • and one or three that don’t work at all – share these with your clients to demonstrate what an expert you are

There’s also a workbook for you to work through an exercise to help you market yourself and get more clients. You’ll learn how to use variations on Cool and Warm to promote your business and book those clients in for even more colour analysis services.

This one masterclass on its own will help you get more leads, more clients, and more sales. And that’s only one of the masterclasses in my brand-new Fabulous Colour Academy.
