Eye colour charts for colour analysis

Human beings cannot be put into boxes as no-one in the world has exactly the same eye colour or pattern as anyone else. As no-one has two matching eyes either, this is why eyes are being used more and more like fingerprints for security purposes.

It is also impossible to base a colour analysis on being specific about eye colours as there are plenty of people out there with two completely different eye colours! This is called heterochromia and is an ocular condition in which one iris is a different colour from the other iris, or where the part of one iris is a different colour from the remainder.

For instance, the American actor, Christopher Walken, has one blue eye and one hazel eye. The British actress Jane Seymour has one brown eye and one green.

Relying on eye colour charts for colour analysis is the road to doom. So how would you start analysing someone with heterochromia if you had to stick to a checklist that assumes both eyes are the same colour? This is a rhetorical question, if you hadn’t already guessed. The answer is that you can’t!

So don’t do it to anyone else either!

You simply cannot drop 7 billion people into convenient little boxes – because every single one of us is unique. Prescriptive, checklist colour analysis is old hat, out of date, and should be banned! It might make your job easy but that’s not the point – at least, not for the client!

Stuff the system. Put the client first!

All of my training adopts the ‘stuff the system put the client first‘ ethic.

It’s what we do.

Put the client first.
