If you love colour analysis and personal styling, helping people dress, taking them shopping, sorting out their wardrobes, then just think, you could have the most excellent Plan B with colour and style, have so much fun helping people look and feel fabulous, and make enough money for you and your family to feel financially safe and secure.
I met Azburga for lunch and I asked her why she had finally started her business from home.
She’d told me years ago that, Algie, her husband had a good job and they had agreed right from the beginning that she would be a full-time Mum to their twins.
“One day, eighteen months ago,” she told me, “Algie was sent home from work with nervous stress.
“He’d been working silly hours but he kept telling me it was only a short-term thing. He was having frequent colds and headaches. I knew he was completely worn out but I had no idea he was so ill.
“The doctor prescribed full bed-rest for a week and put him on anxiety blockers.
“Algie was off work for five whole months.
“Do you know, Kim?” Azburga said, “It frightened me to death!
“Apart from him being so ill, which was bad enough in itself, I realised that if he didn’t get better, if he wasn’t able to go back to work soon, we would have been in severe financial straits. We had enough in the bank to pay our monthly bills and no more. We had to borrow from family to help us through the next few months.
“I’ll tell you, Kim, it shook me up. It made me really think hard about the future, about what could happen if Algie became ill again.
Plan B: my own business
“So that’s why I did your Ultimate Business Program and started my own business. I can fit it in around the family. I can run my consultations from my home so I don’t have any rent or staff costs. And the money I’ve been making has gone straight into the savings account for a rainy day.
“We both feel so much safer now. We actually have savings, just in case anything happens to any of us. And now we also have enough to buy some lovely extras. We’ve booked to go to Disneyland!
“Having my own business that I run from home has changed everything – for the better. Life is so good.”
Azburga’s story really made me stop and think about my own situation. What if Neil became ill and I had to fathom out how to do the web-thingy-techie-wotsit stuff myself? God’s teeth! I’d be absolutely hopeless and would have to hire an expert who would cost a ruddy fortune.
Azburga’s story made Neil and I sit down and discuss our own ‘What if?’ scenario and, as a result, we’ve made some decisions about our own future business and financial security. That’s why I wanted you to hear Azburga’s story too. She gave me full permission – the little sweetheart.
If Azburga’s story makes you stop and consider, even for one teeny moment, the possibility of having Plan B, an alternative way of making money to pay your bills, then this will have been worthwhile.
